Scrutiny Sub-Committees

The overview and scrutiny committee appoints five scrutiny sub committees and is responsible for their overall management.  The sub committees are

• Children's services and education scrutiny sub committee
• Health and adult care scrutiny sub committee
• Three 'task and finish' scrutiny sub committees (sub committee A, sub committee B and sub committee C) to look at particular issues allocated to them by OSC

Scrutiny sub committees take a close look at council decisions and activities and call for the council to be open and accountable.

Three sub committees have not been re-established this year; the housing, environment and community support and regeneration and resources scrutiny sub committees.  For information about these sub committees, including copies of agendas and reports, please contact Scrutiny@southwark.gov.uk.
