Deputy Leader of the Council 2005/6

The deputy leader, Councillor Catherine Bowman deputises in the leader's absence and takes a holistic approach to the work of the executive, ensuring portfolio themes are joined up. She is also responsible for children's services and the council's response to the Children's Green Paper and the management of the Elephant and Castle regeneration project.
