Major Projects Board (Executive Committee)Summary of Objectives
The major projects board provides a focus for decision-making and the delivery of all major projects. The major projects board is responsible for the main area-based regeneration programmes (Elephant and Castle, Aylesbury, Canada Water and Bermondsey Spa), Southwark Schools for the Future Secondary schools and the office accommodation programme. It has an important role in energising and driving forward the major projects.
The executive members sit on the major projects board, which is constituted as an executive committee.
The major projects board will
- Take key policy decisions to enable the projects to be delivered
- Agree the delivery plans for each major project and the overall programme plan
- Receive regular reports and updates on progress
- Establish the project delivery boards
- Agree the relevant executive member lead on each project
Frequency and location of meetings
It is envisaged that the major projects board would meet a minimum of six times per year at the Town Hall, Peckham Road, London SE5 8UB.
