The Community Council area covers three electoral wards: College, East Dulwich and Village. There are three distinct town centre areas within Dulwich

- Lordship Lane and Melford Court Estate

- East Dulwich Grove Estate
- Lytcott Grove Estate
Dulwich Institutions
Dulwich College is a famous school for boys founded in 1619. Its former pupils include the Antarctic explorer Sir Ernest Shackleton.
Kingswood House, built in 1811, is a striking former stately home now located in the middle of Kingswood Estate. It houses Kingswood Community Centre.
Dulwich Community Hospital is being constructed on the site of the old Dulwich Hospital, which was built in 1885. The hospital treated around 14,000 to 15,000 soldiers during World War I.
The last historic tollgate still in use in London is on College Road. It was built in 1789 by John Morgan who rented the road from Dulwich College. He charged both people and animals to use the road. After his death the college continued to charge.
