Direct DebitDirect debit is the easiest and most convenient way to pay for customers who already have or intend to open a bank, building society or post office direct payment account.
Setting up your direct debit
If you have access to a computer that is connected to the internet, you can set up direct debits for regular council tax or housing rent payments by downloading the appropriate form.
Where to find a direct debit mandate form online
Council tax
For council tax, you can print out a copy of the council tax direct debit mandate form (259kb) here. To view this document, you need Adobe Reader. Once you have completed and signed the form, return it to us at

Alternatively, phone the council tax general enquiry line on 020 7525 1850 to set up the direct debit over the phone.
Housing rent
