The team will be back at the Elephant and Castle a week later, on March 19 from 10am to 4pm. Follow up sessions will take place at the Elephant from 12 to 2pm for a further three weeks.
Support from local GP and TV street doctor
Offering encouragement will be local GP and BBC TV Street Doctor, Dr Jonty Heaversedge. Dr Jonty will be leading a team of expert advisors who will be encouraging people in the shopping centre and nearby streets to think about stopping smoking.
Set a quit date for smokefree success
Smokers who are ready to set a quit date will be signed up for treatment over a four week period. Free nicotine replacement therapy (patches and gum) is available for up to eight weeks.
