Be Prepared for the Unexpected
On Sunday April 27 2008 a water mains burst on Tooley Street, releasing millions of litres of water. This mainly affected a large business area of the borough flooding some properties and leaving many with no power supply.
Businesses in the area coped well with this situation putting into place measures to ensure business continuity such as relocating to alternative sites and using back up generators.
An event of this kind is unforeseeable and can not be predicted, demonstrating the importance for businesses to be prepared for the unexpected.
