Southwark has long been a provider of music and entertainment, and the tradition continues. Whether you like to listen to classical music or spend your night on the dance floor, there will be something for you in Southwark.

The Ministry of Sound has a cult following among clubbers worldwide. Its custom-built sound system is just one reason for its phenomenal success and ability to attract top DJs from around the world. The Ministry opened in 1991 in response to the UK underground clubbing movement and has emerged as a unifier of dance culture styles, attitudes and music.

The Arches holds one of London’s most popular nights for 70s grooves. Superfly style lives on at the Starsky & Hutch club night where brothers Andy G and Kristos mix 70s and 80s funky beats. Named after the American TV series, this club rotates to different venues on different nights of the week.
