About Southwark EventsSouthwark has a long tradition of producing exciting, community based events that gain national and international recognition.
 Our world class status is reflected in events such as Carnaval del Pueblo, the UK's largest Latin American festival and Thames Festival which stretches from the London Eye to Tower Bridge, creating the longest street theatre festival in Europe!
Events such as Boundless, Silver and I Love Peckham show the way we work with communities and groups to increase participation and involvement.
The events team
The events team, with a wide range of skills and knowledge, provides a one stop shop for using parks and open spaces for events and filming in Southwark. We enable local people to set up and run events throughout Southwark that are of interest to and relevant to the local community.
Using events as a tool, we work with agencies across the borough as well as with community and voluntary sector organisations to help deliver social cohesion and cultural diversity priorities.
