Hiring a Venue One of the first things you'll need to do when planning an event is hire a venue. This is true whether you are using an indoor or an outdoor space.
Outdoor events
Southwark Council manages a large number of parks and open spaces throughout the borough. Applications to hire these spaces for events are dealt with by the events team.
If the venue is not managed by Southwark Council you will need to contact the owners directly.

Applying to hire a park or open space in Southwark
To hire a public open space in Southwark for an event you will need to submit an application at least 14 weeks before the date of the event.

The Visit Southwark webpage has information about venue hire which lists over 40 venues.
The council has no responsibility for the letting or hiring of tenants and residents association halls and in each case the prospective hirer should contact the association direct, from the list above.
