Portavilion 2008

Public art for London's parks
June to October 2008

Four artists have been selected to create contemporary large scale pavilions to sit in parks across London for the Portavilion project 2008

Potters Fields park, Primrose Hill, Regents park, and Holland park will all display pieces of interactive art as part of the Portavilion project.

July 5 to 28 September 2008

Toby Paterson has designed 'Powder blue orthogonal pavilion', which will sit in Potters field park as part of the Portavilion project.

Experience the pavilion for yourself by walking through it, using it as a meeting place or simply appreciate the pavilion in its environment.



There will be talks, performance, walks and activities for young people, based around the pavilion at Potters field park

Powder Blue Orthogonal Pavilion, Potters Fields park is open daily and is a free for all to enjoy.

Artist Toby Paterson talks about his work and the Powder Blue Orthogonal Pavilion.
Visit the pavilion with the artist after the talk.

Treasure trail
Saturday July 12 2008, 12pm

Starting at the Royal Festival Hall, an urban treasure trail that will include the Toby Paterson Pavilion in Potters Fields Park and surrounding area.

Unicorn Youth Theatre Performance 
Saturday July 19 2008, 12.30pm and 3pm

The Unicorn Youth Theatre will present two short performances, that rework a classic fairy tale.
Free, no booking required.

Artists' Walk
Saturday September 6 2008, 10am to 6pm

A one day artist-led performance linking three of the pavilion sites. This performative event will start from Holland Park leading to Regents Park, and then onto Potters Fields Park on foot and public transport. Commissioned in partnership with The Art of Common Space.
