Big Dance 2008Southwark's A to Z of Dance 
Southwark's A to Z of Dance 2008 was a dance event packed full of energy and diversity!
The event was hosted by Kymberlee Jay, with an opening speech made by Councillor Lewis Robinson, and saw over 20 acts perform various dance styles to represent a letter from the alphabet. From an African dance called the Adowa, to cheerleading, gospel, tap, quadrille, and Samba.
There were also workshops for those who were inspired by the performances. These workshop were led by the Small World Centre Dancers, who gave a belly dancing workshop, which got everybody up and wiggling, and the Mania performing Arts Company who gave a Maori dance workshop full of poses and chants.
