Southwark Proof of Age (SPA) Card
Welcome to the section that is dedicated to Southwark proof of age (SPA) cardholders and for those interested in finding out more about SPA.
The SPA card is London's first PASS approved proof of age card and is free to all students in Southwark’s schools and colleges in years 11 to 13 (15 to 18 year olds). Schools are still joining the scheme but it is now also available to Southwark residents aged 16 to 23.
If you would like a SPA card, please contact us for an application form, stating your age, address and school or college (if applicable). Unfortunately, we cannot make the form available for download owing to technical reasons with our card producers.
Students chose the design of the SPA card which is based on the staircase of the Greater London Authority building situated at Tower Bridge.
This multi-functional card can also be used as a library card, which enables you to take advantage of the services that libraries in Southwark have to offer - not just the loan of books, but also CDs, DVDs and surfing the net.
Southwark libraries are currently offering a free DVD rental when you first register your card with them - just take your SPA card and choose your DVD!
We are continually arranging various discounts for cardholders with local attractions and shops so please check these pages regularly for the latest news.
Should you use your SPA card and be refused a sale or entry to a venue please advise us and we will investigate it for you.
