Poisons
If you intend to sell non medicinal poisons you must have your name entered on a list held by Southwark Council.
The Poisons List Order 1982 contains a list of poisons covered by the Poisons Act. Part I of this list contains poisons that may only be sold by a registered pharmacist. Part II of the list contains the poisons which cannot be sold unless you are registered to sell them with your local authority. All poisons must be clearly labelled.
Apply for a licence
The conditions and requirements (513 kb) relating to the sale of Part II Poisons must be satisfied before a licence is issued. Use the application to sell non medicinal poisons (257 kb) form to apply for a licence. To view these documents, you need Adobe Acrobat installed on your computer. Download Adobe Acrobat for free.
The form must be completed and returned with all the appropriate documents and fees.
The court may order a person convicted of an offence to be removed from the list of authorised sellers of non medicinal poisons.

Once you have submitted your application along with the licence fee, we will contact you to arrange an inspection of your premises.
It is an offence to operate without a licence or breach the terms of the licence.
