Benefits for People Seeking Work You work with an adviser to discuss your ambitions and form an action plan towards achieving your goals.
Childcare
We provide a dedicated adviser to find suitable childcare for your peace of mind while you train or go to work placements.
Training
You may need to go on a course before applying for jobs. The adviser will help identify suitable courses for you and may pay some of the associated costs. So we have developed relationships with a variety of training providers.
Work experience placements
We have links with local organisations willing to help people gain new skills though two or four week work placements. We will pay for your travel and meal expenses while on a placement.
Work placements are a good first step leading to employment. John McCaig, supervisor at Pitney Bowes says "People get the chance to see what a job is like and it also gives us a chance as employers to have a look at the people and make sure they're the right candidate for the job. The way we look at it, if they are willing to come in for two weeks and not get paid then it shows they really want to work."
Ready for a job
The employer liaison officers will talk to you about the job opportunities available and help you with the application process.
